A clockwise/counterclockwise rotating mechanism locks and loosens the telescopic portions. The top of the pole has a 1/4"-20 screw for mounting your camera or accessory, and the bottom has a 1/4"-20 thread for connecting the pole to a tripod, handle, strap, or other mounting equipment.
