Theodist Supports St. John Raise Funds for Ambulance Service

Last Saturday, St. John Ambulance was invited to host a sausage sizzle at the Theodist carpark to help raise funds to subsidize the cost of providing free emergency prehospital care to vulnerable Papua New Guineans.

Trained professionals and first responders from St. John Ambulance, also took the opportunity to train customers and staff of Theodist Limited about the skills and knowledge required to perform life-saving cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), respond to emergency situations, and manage unconscious casualties if the need arises.

Matt Cannon, St. John’s Chief Executive Officer thanked Theodist for sharing the vision to serve and save the lives of vulnerable Papua New Guineans by supporting St. John Ambulance Services.

“Theodist has been kind enough to provide us with a spot outside their carpark to do a sausage sizzle to raise funds for our ambulance operations,” he said.

"It’s because of tremendous support from businesses like Theodist and the government that we can help Papua New Guineans in emergencies every hour of every day,” Mr. Cannon added.

Theodist limited, Chief Executive Officer, Kumar Baliah expressed his gratitude and support for St. John's great work in Papua New Guinea.

“St. John is a charity organization that has been operating in PNG for over 65 years, supporting our fathers, mothers, infants, and children by bringing much-needed prehospital ambulance services to our communities,” Kumar said.

“As part of our corporate social responsibilities, we are proud and committed to supporting St. John Ambulance in providing the nation’s primary emergency ambulance service,” Mr. Baliah added.
