Theodist Thunders team manager Velea Wavuri was pleased with her team's performance, particularly in the areas of goal shooting and defence.
It was a great game and a great challenge for both teams," said Theodist Thunders Team Manager Velea Wavuri. "The Bishop Brothers are a well-drilled team with some very talented players. We had to work hard for our victory, but I'm proud of the way my team played."
Wavuri was particularly pleased with the performance of her goal shooters and defenders. "Manu and Gia were outstanding in goal shooting," she said. "They were able to convert their chances under pressure, even when the Bishop Brothers' defence was at its best. Varo and Irene also played very well in defence. They were able to shut down the Bishop Brothers' attack and give us a solid foundation to build on."
Wavuri also praised the contributions of her mid-court players. "Our mid-court players played their part as well," she said. "They were able to get us the ball into the attacking circle with precision, and they also played a vital role in our defensive efforts."
Regarding areas of focus in the upcoming week's training, Velea emphasized the importance of enhancing on-court skills, footwork, team drills, and fitness to maintain their competitive edge. The team is committed to continued improvement to secure more victories in the future.
"We need to train hard and work on our attacking and defensive systems this week," she said. "If we can do that, we should be able to come up with another win next Sunday."
