Australian Defence Cooperation Program and Theodist Enhance Classrooms at Cheshire Schools

Students at Cheshire disAbility Services Schools are now learning in more comfortable classrooms thanks to a joint initiative by the Department of Defence Australia and Theodist.

Together, the two organisations provided new desks and chairs, creating a supportive environment that helps children with disabilities thrive. For many students, proper desks and seating are essential not only for learning but also for comfort and stability during the school day. This support will directly improve daily classroom experiences for both students and teachers.

Speaking on behalf of the Department of Defence Australia, Lieutenant Colonel Steve Jenkins said:

“Every child deserves the chance to learn in a safe and supportive environment. This initiative allows us to provide practical support to Cheshire disAbility Services and make a real difference for their students.”

Kevin Anderson, National Sales & Marketing Manager at Theodist, added:

“We are proud to work alongside the Department of Defence Australia on this project. Partnerships like this show that by coming together, organisations can achieve more and create meaningful impact in the community.”

Cheshire disAbility Services expressed gratitude to both organisations for their support. The new desks and chairs will help teachers provide a better learning environment while giving students the comfort and resources they need to succeed.

This initiative demonstrates the power of collaboration and highlights the positive outcomes that can be achieved when organisations unite around a shared goal.

Through partnerships like this, education becomes more inclusive, classrooms become more functional, and communities are strengthened.
