Product Description

"Leadership" is to do with the ability to be a leader. A leader must have leadership skills to lead people in diverse organisations in the right way. A leader is not born a leader in the private or public sector. He or she needs to attend leadership training so as to acquire leadership skills to lead people in the right way. Moral leadership is not evident in most of our leaders as they do not know what is right and what is wrong.

THer is a reflection on the concern of leadership in Papua New Guinea within the education system. Leadership and the education system go hand in hand. If the right leadership is applied in our education system, then the recipients of these education services will be able to receive maximum benefits.

"Administration" is a process of working with and through others to accomplish the goals of an organisation effectively. This can be done through internal and external collaboration. "Management" is the process of coordinating and integrating work activities effectively and efficiently in order to achieve the goals of an organisation. This can occur through internal and external collaboration. The Administration comprises Administrative Responsibilities, Administrative Processes and Administrative Skills.

The School leaders do lead and manage in the following four main areas. They are educational governance and administration, workplace ethics that stimulate morally responsible behaviour, organisational learning and knowledge management and sociological themes and perspectives.

Finally, "force" is the strength or energy brought to bear on a situation to start or stop motion or change. "Leadership forces can be thought of as the means available to administrator, supervisors, and teachers to bring about or preserve changes needed to improve schooling." The five leadership forces can be identified as technical force, educational force, symbolic force and cultural force.
