Theodist Renews Support for MBB Marlins for Third Consecutive Season

Theodist Limited has renewed its sponsorship of the Theodist MBB Marlins, reaffirming its commitment to supporting rugby union and community sport in Papua New Guinea for a third consecutive year.

Since the partnership began in 2024, Theodist has supported the Marlins’ efforts to promote rugby union and strengthen community engagement through sport in the National Capital District.

Theodist Limited Corporate Development Manager Ryan Pini said the continued partnership reflects the company’s commitment to supporting organisations that demonstrate teamwork, discipline, and dedication to their community.

“The Marlins represent the values we believe in at Theodist – commitment, teamwork, and perseverance,” Mr Pini said.

“Over the past two seasons, the team has continued to show great determination both on and off the field, and we are proud to continue supporting their journey.”

Theodist Chief Executive Officer Kumar Baliah said the renewal reflects the company’s long-standing commitment to supporting organisations across Papua New Guinea.

“For more than 50 years, Theodist has remained committed to supporting organisations across Papua New Guinea, and partnerships such as this allow us to contribute to initiatives that bring communities together,” Mr Baliah said. “Sport plays an important role in inspiring young people and promoting positive values such as discipline, teamwork, and resilience.”

Through the renewed partnership, Theodist will continue to support the team with team jerseys, training equipment, and promotional support as they compete in the National Capital District rugby union competition.

MBB Marlins Head Coach Rawali Bokuik welcomed the continued partnership and acknowledged Theodist’s ongoing support for the team.

“We are grateful to Theodist for standing with the Marlins over the past two seasons and continuing that support into another year,” Mr Bokuik said. “Support from partners like Theodist helps our players focus on their performance while also allowing us to continue building a strong culture within the team and our rugby community.”
